Question about Carver from Dragon Age 2?

The first time I played through Dragon Age 2 I chose not to bring Carver along with me for the dwarfs underground expedition. He left my group and joined the templars and I never got him back.

I was just curious if I agree to take him along with me if he'll still be in my party when Act 2 begins.Question about Carver from Dragon Age 2?
Carver has four possible fates in Dragon Age 2:

1. He is killed by the ogre instead of Bethany in the Prologue, if you choose to be a Rogue or Warrior

2. He comes with you on the expedition, but (Warden) Anders is also with you (there is no such thing as an ex-Marine and no such thing as an ex-Grey Warden!). He will be sickened by the taint, but Anders will flag down a fellow Grey Warden and call in a favor. Carver joins the Wardens and makes something of himself. You will see Warden Carver at the end of Act 2, and perhaps twice in Act 3 if you imported a saved game and do the quest to rescue Warden Nathaniel.

3. Carver comes with you into the Deep Roads, but Anders does not. Since you have no Grey Warden with you to locate the ones already in the Deep Roads, Carver dies of the taint and his story ends there.

4. Carver stays at home with Leandra. While you are in the Deep Roads, a bitter Carver joins the Templars. If you choose to side with the Mages, he will break with Meredith and stands with Cullen to oppose her when they are ordered to kill you In Act 3.Question about Carver from Dragon Age 2?
There are three options:

- Death (when taken on the expedition without Anders in the party)

- Joins Templar (Bethany 'joins' the Circle) when not part of the expedition

- Joins the Grey Wardens (when taken on the expedition AND Anders is in the party)Question about Carver from Dragon Age 2?
