If I were you, I would choose Rogue since that class gives you pretty good speed boost, though mage has very good mana and casts high damage spell. It's all your preference. Remember that all classes have weaknesses and strengths!

The first time I played through Dragon Age 2 I chose not to bring Carver along with me for the dwarfs underground expedition. He left my group and joined the templars and I never got him back.

Now I have played a few hours of Dragon Age:O i know not enough to say I know the ending( I look up the Wiki ) for the story so i know about Morrigan's child if you choose that and/or your Warden dieing after killing the Arch Demon. They did make a lot of improvements this time around, especially combat. Fighting mobs feels like less of a chore. There are also a lot more cinematic cut scenes and your character is much more expressive. I also loved how you don't have to make everyone like you. Even if a companion hates every choice you make you can still do their quests and earn their loyalty.

Choose a pre-set that is close to the features you want and don't mess around with the sliders too much. I think it's probably the jaw and chin that are messing you up, so focus on that area first. How do i get to lvl 20 when there are no more quests to do and were do i find the high dragon. Is there anything else to do i do i start over with a new character?

The developers said on the forums the game is over after the credits. You can't run around after the story if over.

Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?
I was thinking of romancing Fenris and Anders at the same time in Dragon Age, but is that even possible? Or can you ONLY romance one character?Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?

There seems to be a natural break with Fenris, at more than one place. Concentrate on him first in Act 2. At some point after a personal quest, Fenris will abruptly leave the party and confront Hawk at her house, which can end in sex, but after Fenris will immediately back away from the relationship ('This should never have happened!").
If you choose at this point, you can continue to pursue Fenris. However at this point you can also choose to flirt with Anders who gives in and but you have the option to tell Anders truthfully that Fenris broke it off before having sex with him as well.
What I didn't try was rejecting Anders at this point and returning to Fenris. Don't know that it would work. Either way, Fenris starts to wear a red wrist band as well as Hawke's family crest on his belt. This might be a bug, or be an intentional way of showing Fenris still carries a huge torch for Hawke.
Party banter after the breakup implies that he still does, and he reacts poorly when Anders gloats over how things turned out.
EDIT: Not entirely sure about the first one. I got that party banter, or one very similar, after Fenris bolted after spending the night *and* after Anders spent the night, indicating that not only did Fenris break it off, but Anders was poking at him. I believe the line I heard was "I don't know what Hawke ever saw in you (past tense)". Fenris responds that Anders should drop it; leaving was the hardest thing he ever did, then I think Anders has a parting shot.
I do know that you can still pursue Fenris unless you sleep with someone else after he bolts.
With Isabela, I've never heard it, but I read somewhere that if the Champion is not involved with either Isabela *or* Fenris, party banter between them implies that they are involved with each other.Can you romance more than one character in dragon age 2 at the same time?

Left 4 dead is one of those games you can play over and over again and not really get bored of it but the main story isn't that long so if you have xbox live I recommend getting that but if you are a RPG lover (like me) you will get dragon age because it can be a long game if you do side quest and take time on it rather then rush through the main story and the combat system is like a pause and pick the skill/spell/ability unless you have it hotkey'd.

Left for dead 2 is really good if you cn play online, but offline is good but over time it gets old. Left for dead 2 is great if you like to shoot, run and work as a team. The online play is great and their is always someone online willing to play with you.

I was a female noble warrior, a male noble warrior and most recently a female danish elf. The Dialogue picks are great, because you could be a asshole or push over. You get a team of people to work by your side, but only of you want you. You can send them packing if you want, but you will need them like on Left for Dead 2. The amount of Game play is more. There just is more stuff to do then on Left for Dead 2. You can have a romance, kill people or slay dragons(Don't try this your first time.)

Rogue. I've played rogue ever since the second time I played DA, went straight for rogue in the DA2 demo and will continue to rogue when I get the game this month. Lock picking is a life skill to always have on hand. Plus they are fast, are great with two blades in close combat (and lets face it that's cool in itself) but are just as adept with bows should the battle become long-range, so they are a good all-rounder.
Mages are just soft and squishy, normally turning into a nasty red stain on the floor the minute they get breathed on in close-combat. I personally like to be in the thick of battle, not on the side-lines hiding behind the boulder whilst taking cheap-shots and hoping not to be discovered.
Warriors are powerful but their speed is sacrificed for brute strength which normally means they suck at evasion. That means you need to focus on their HP and defense more since they will be taking hits... that means they normally have less accuracy and miss a whole lot more than the other classes. I want my main character to be the hero striking the killing blows; not merely the tank.
Also, their lack of accuracy means they are not normally that hot if you stick a long-range weapon in their hands.What character should I start on dragon age 2?
Warrior is used to deal a good amount of damage while soaking up some damage as well. While Mages and rogues get into position to fight take down your foes take the heat off them with your warrior and deal some damage in the meantime.
Rogue ability's help defeat your enemy quick and effectively, they can open up weak spots for other companions to take advantage of. While a warrior is soaking damage from an enemy get and back of your enemy with a steal rogue to increase damage and use special ability's to open up weak spots for the rest of your party.
Mages can deal a load of damage, Use spells beneficial to companions like healing, and have an array of area spells. While your warriors are soaking the damage and your rogues are getting back stab damage and opening up your enemy's weak points, use the mage to unleash powerful spells and heal your allies.

I'd like to know a bit, or a lot, about these games. I've seen videos online of the gameplay and they look like something I'd like to buy soon. I like the looks of Dragon Age more, but I like the idea of playing with friends like I saw for Fable 2.

Dragon Age is an excellent game, but I do know that the xbox version is not as good as the pc version. It has received consistently lower scores than the pc version, mainly because the controls aren't as good. Fable 2 is very good, and you may be able to a relatively cheap version since Fable 3 is coming out soon. Wellll if your a big fan of role-playing games than yeah these are pretty good and will satisfy your hunger for role-playing. I installed Dragon age origins on my computer though (same thing as xbox, which I own as well) I have barely played it, it is is not much like what you see in the trailers where it looks freaking Bad a ss, to me it was more like a Lord of the rings game and I lost interest. Fable 2 is really popular and I recommend it, but you should wait for Fable 3 to be released unless you wan't to play the whole story so that you may understand the rest of the other fables, in which play the first Fable. Dragon Age is an excellent game, but I do know that the xbox version is not as good as the pc version. It has received consistently lower scores than the pc version, mainly because the controls aren't as good. Fable 2 is very good, and you may be able to a relatively cheap version since Fable 3 is coming out soon. Wellll if your a big fan of role-playing games than yeah these are pretty good and will satisfy your hunger for role-playing. I installed Dragon age origins on my computer though (same thing as xbox, which I own as well) I have barely played it, it is is not much like what you see in the trailers where it looks freaking Bad a ss, to me it was more like a Lord of the rings game and I lost interest. Furthermore, in a report from Bioware (The game's developers), your actions and decisions made in Dragon Age: Origins will effect the story of Dragon Age 2.

If so yes I have for the PS3 and played abit of it (got distracted by Uncharted 2 and then Fallout 3 gotta play it again some day) and it was entertaining and had a interesting story if you're interested in magic and hacking things with a sword. The followers are interesting aswell especially as I have a big war dog I named Bob :D.

It's ok, I'm not really feeling the story though.
To me it feels more like assassins creed type of storyline than mass effect.
I liked assassins creed but it was a dumbed down game for xbox fans.. dragon age 2 feels similar.
I dunno if its just me or the game, but dragon age just isn't grabbing my attention like both mass effects (and even dragon age 1) did.
That said, I still like the game.
I recommend it. Its a really good game.
DA2 and ME2 have few similarities outside genre, great voice acting, and awesome music. Actually there are clips of music that are the exact same in both games.
ME2 has FPS combat. DA2 is more tactical at the higher difficulties. On lower difficulties it can be played like and action game. I will say that the effects in combat on DA2 are awesome.
The story-lines I felt are of about even quality imo. I felt ME2 and DA2 both could've been a bit better in this regard.
The dialogue options go way beyond even ME2. The thing that's impressed me most about the game so far has been the dialogue options. They had better carry over the improvements to ME3 lol. You basically have an aggressive response, a peaceful one, and a smart-*** option every time your character speaks. Supporting characters actually start reacting to your dialogue in a way that shows that they remember how you've acted in the game so far. Pretty damn cool really.Will i like Dragon Age 2 if I loved Mass Effect 2?

I bought and beat bulletstorm, and was planning on trading it in today. I have Mass Effect 2 next in line to play, but I'm feeling the more midevil style of RPG at the moment. Dragon Age 2, in my opinion, is very different from Dragon Age 1. It has lost the 'tactical-ness' of Dragon Age 1, and became an Action-RPG. You can tell the difference in the pace of combat. If you love fast-paced RPGs, then DA2 is for you.
As for class, I love the rogue. It makes you a very important person, because your the only one who can open locks, and, well, you are the main DPS. (I like DPS characters)
My complaint would be, the combat is TOO fast paced for my liking and it gets messy sometimes. (SPOILER ALERT) Like the starting. Too fast. Play it and you'll see what I mean.Is Dragon Age 2 a fun game?

Dragon Age 2 or Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands or Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas?
Which TWO should I getDragon Age 2 or Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands or Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas?
I'd say Borderlands and Fallout 3. Owning all the games you wrote above, I found my preference to be towards those two. New Vegas has a certain something missing, and the Dragon Age games, for all that they are good storywise, tend to be very slow paced.
That said, have you considered Demon's Souls and Dark Souls? While they are extremely challenging, especially Dark Souls, and encourage online play (but can be completed fully offline), they also are incredibly satisfying and the game world works exactly as intended - it's meant to make you feel like the whole world wants to see you dead, and makes you want to survive just to spite it, so to speak.
Fallout 3 is my top choice out of those. It's an amazing game (one of the best I've ever played). It's so detailed, and it kind of manages to strike the perfect balance between serious and fun. Plus you get tons of hours of gameplay out of it. After that I'd say go with Fallout New Vegas. Borderlands is great too, but the storyline is a little thin compared to the Fallout games, and the world isn't as immense. Borderlands can also feel a little lonely single player.

Dragon Age:Origins and Fallout 3 is what i would say they're both massive and Dragon Age 2 is kinda pointless without playing Origins and while borderlands isn't bad it doesn't compare to Fallout and DA at all because a) they're awesome and b) they're massive especially Fallout 3 will keep u busy a while unless of course u don't have a lot of time and don't like Rpg's Borderlands and DA2 are the shortest on that list.
Fallout New Vegas is a great game and deal. I have been playing the game for about three weeks and like the last one, it has its glitches like the game freezing and characters that get stuck in the walls but unlike the previous version, I did not have to fork out $60 for it!! Fallout 3 for wasteland, DA:O for medieval. Fallout 3 is much, much better than new vegas, and has a broader mod selection, and Dragon age Origins has more customization than DA2 (DA2 has none haha).

I'd say Borderlands and Fallout 3. Owning all the games you wrote above, I found my preference to be towards those two. New Vegas has a certain something missing, and the Dragon Age games, for all that they are good storywise, tend to be very slow paced.
That said, have you considered Demon's Souls and Dark Souls? While they are extremely challenging, especially Dark Souls, and encourage online play (but can be completed fully offline), they also are incredibly satisfying and the game world works exactly as intended - it's meant to make you feel like the whole world wants to see you dead, and makes you want to survive just to spite it, so to speak.
Fallout 3 is my top choice out of those. It's an amazing game (one of the best I've ever played). It's so detailed, and it kind of manages to strike the perfect balance between serious and fun. Plus you get tons of hours of gameplay out of it. After that I'd say go with Fallout New Vegas. Borderlands is great too, but the storyline is a little thin compared to the Fallout games, and the world isn't as immense. Borderlands can also feel a little lonely single player.

Dragon Age:Origins and Fallout 3 is what i would say they're both massive and Dragon Age 2 is kinda pointless without playing Origins and while borderlands isn't bad it doesn't compare to Fallout and DA at all because a) they're awesome and b) they're massive especially Fallout 3 will keep u busy a while unless of course u don't have a lot of time and don't like Rpg's Borderlands and DA2 are the shortest on that list.

So I spent a lot of time in Act 1, but I completely forgot to find and recruit Isabel. I'm now in Act 2 and I just realized this. I know that she doesn't play a significant role in the game and I won't use her much, but I would still like to have her as an option. Yes you can hack her inside. Activate the game's console (google it if you dont know how) then press ~...dont worry if no text line is visible, just type in runscript zz_isa_debug. A dialogue with isabela's debug options should appear...now navigate to the plot points..and chose the "go to plot"..or something like that...choose chapter 1 and then teleport to the point where Isabela confronts the guy in her personal quest.

I'm on the beginning of the quest after you get the 50k and maps. The dragon is at the first part of the quest after you rescue the dwarf who got lost. I keep getting killed by this thing. I lead my warrior behind the dragon and used taunt so the dragon turned around and focused on me while the rest of my party used magic and range to kill it from a distance. When your health gets low switch off from a health poultice then to anders heal ability so that the other can cool down. I was working on the sword and shield tree and the 2h weapon tree, By doing this I could unleash my sword and shield ability's on an enemy then switch to a 2h weapon while the sword and shield ability's cooled down. Verric has an ability that rains down arrows on an enemy that deals a fair amount of damage so use that whenever you can. Fire based spells are weak against dragons so don't waste mana on those, instead try something like a ice based spell. If you have to get close to the dragon to cast a spell make sure to get out of range as soon as possible so it doesn't direct its attacks on your Madge.
This is what I what I did and I found the battle extremely easy.
If you have a party of Long range companions then try a for corner tactic, Have a party members spread out in for places around the dragon so it can really only focus on one. I cant give you much help with that party type because my battle plans are based around having at least one warrior in your party and switching tactic based on the situation.

Im playing DA2 on my ps3 and Im on act 3 now. I did everything right in act 2 flirted and everything. Im in a rivalmance with him. I did the quest for his sister and apparently your supposed to go to his mansion or yours and start up a scene where he asks for forgiveness. Im not getting this scene. Did I do something wrong? 2) Isabela skips out (friendship/rivalry insufficient to return), but Fenris is in the party. Fenris knows the Qun, and he will argue with the Arishok that by naming you "Bas alit'an" he's given you the right to settle a disagreement by combat.
Other than that, recommend you gear up with +Nature damage and/or +Cold damage, as these are what qunari are most vulnerable to. The cool down on potions are rather long, but there is also a bug which doesn't allow you to use a potion when the cool down has expired. You may have to click elsewhere on the screen or select something else until it releases.
Either way, the Arishok does massive damage with his impalement attack. Stay out of his reach as much as possible and don't be too proud to run. Kite him around the columns in the room and only attack when you have the best chance of getting quickly out of his way. 1. If Fenris is in your party he can negotiate the duel. The Arishok only offers the duel willingly if during your encounters with him you earned his respect. Isabela only comes back if your friendship or rivalry is high enough. She is gone for good otherwise.
2. Health potions have a very long cooldown. You need to keep a character with low health running until you can use them again. Anders is also useful since he is the only healer.

Only attack the Arishok face to face when you either have full health, or when he's stunned and can't retaliate.Two questions in Dragon Age 2 how do you fight Arishok one on one?
1. If Fenris is in your party he can negotiate the duel. The Arishok only offers the duel willingly if during your encounters with him you earned his respect. Isabela only comes back if your friendship or rivalry is high enough. She is gone for good otherwise.
2. Health potions have a very long cooldown. You need to keep a character with low health running until you can use them again. Anders is also useful since he is the only healer.

Arishok is only available to fight one on one if you have high enough respect with him. You have to choose the "good" options, tell him Isabella has the book, talk nice about him behind his back, all that sort of stuff. Isabella only comes back if your friendship is high enough with her, otherwise she is out of the game for good. If you max your friendship with her, she returns, and you duel the Arishok for her life.
2) No idea why you can't use your health potion, maybe the cooldown hasn't reset yet? I didn't have that problem. *shrug*

Did you outright reject him? If you get his friendship... meter thing high enough by siding with mages on various quests, post-Dissent he might still try to kiss you.

For some reason, I can't stick to just one character and I keep creating new ones. The farthest I have gotten is to about halfway into ACT 2 and then I make a new character. I just started playing Dragon Age 2 on the same TV I used to play the first Dragon Age. But this time, I cant even read the dialogue and i am forced to pick random dialogue from the tree. Also, the leveling screens writing is also too small and blurry and i cant even read that! this kinda ruins the game for me. Really, it depends on what aspect of the game you find more important. If you liked a lot more customization and a stronger story I'd go with Dragon Age: Origins, I also find it better because there's a lot more DLC and a whole expansion too, however in Dragon Age II, I felt that the battles were a bit more fun. If I were you, I'd get Origins first, so when you play DA2 you're not hearing terms and stuff in the story and thinking, what the f***?

Really, it depends on what aspect of the game you find more important. If you liked a lot more customization and a stronger story I'd go with Dragon Age: Origins, I also find it better because there's a lot more DLC and a whole expansion too, however in Dragon Age II, I felt that the battles were a bit more fun. If I were you, I'd get Origins first, so when you play DA2 you're not hearing terms and stuff in the story and thinking, what the f***?
Trust me, don't make the same mistake I did :P

You do it during character creation. After you pick your character appearance, name, etc. there is a background option where you can pick two presets, or import a saved file from DAO.

Mages have several spell trees to choose from and many of the spells have upgrades. You have a lot of freedom in the kind of mage you want to be. You can also customize your armor and weapons with runes that give magic effects.
The other two classes are warrior and rouge. Warriors can either use sword and shield or two handed weapons. Rogues can dual wield daggers or use bows. Like the mage you can customize your abilities and attacks and have a lot of freedom to choose how you want to play.
I really liked the game. If you are unsure you could stand to wait for the price to drop. But if you are looking for a fun RPG to play I think it's worth the money.

I know this question has been asked hundreds of times before but I'm asking it again to get a well-rounded opinion. I have been playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for quite some time now but have run into a number of glitches. Thus, I decided to try out Dragon Age especially since a friend of mine recommended it. I looked it up on Amazon and it appears to be rather interesting. However, I'm wondering which one I should play first since I read that the graphics are better in Dragon Age 2 as opposed to Dragon Age: Origins. Does this really matter though? Which game should I get first? Anything I should know before playing it?

Dragon Age 1. I don't particularly like either though. Oblivion is a much better game. You'd probably have a better time playing it using some mods and patching it with the unofficial Oblivion patch which fixes a lot of bugs. There is an unofficial Shivering Isles patch too
And speaking of Elder Scrolls..........Skyrim 11/11/11 !!!!
Personally I'm not into the whole Pause during a battle to give orders or controlling more than one character .. its just not as fun
However I played Dragon age, and I think you should play 1 first .. the storyline is better %26amp; I found it more fun than 2.

The dragon age games are really nothing like Elder Scrolls. If you've played a Bioware RPG before than you already know what to expect. If not: Expect a more liniar path with rewarding story telling and memorable characters, expect hours of your time to be devoured and expect a pointless but enjoyable romantic subplot with one of your companions.
as to which you should buy first, you would probably enjoy the first one more. The first is a more classic RPG that really shows its D%26amp;D roots, the second is a fantastic game, but it does take so much from Mass Effect (assuming you have an idea about said game) that it may not be what your looking for coming from Obliviongame of thrones book smokey bones
