Do you think i should get Dragon Age Origins in order to fully experience Dragon Age 2, or...?

i pretty much want to get Dragon Age 2 for my birthday but i don't have Dragon Age Origins. i was wondering if i should get Origins in order to have the full experience, or if you think it's not really necessary. Please note that i am a *huge* fan of BioWare and love the Mass Effect seriesDo you think i should get Dragon Age Origins in order to fully experience Dragon Age 2, or...?
I played both games and imported a file into DA2 but honestly don't think it's as big a deal as it was with Mass Effect 2. If you don't import a file you can choose one of three background stories.

DA2 is set in a different region and is not a direct sequel. The story in the beginning of the game overlaps with that of Origins and after the introduction the events of Dragon Age Origins are narrated. The references to Origins are details and not importing a file doesn't result in missing sidequests or characters as was the case with Mass Effect 2.Do you think i should get Dragon Age Origins in order to fully experience Dragon Age 2, or...?
Yes dude. You really need to play Origins first because it is basically a back story for 2. Plus Origins is just a fantastic game.
